How to choose the right jean that fits
Denim was traditionally colored blue with indigo dye to make blue jeans, although "jean" formerly denoted a different, lighter, cotton fabric. The contemporary use of the word "jeans" comes from the French word for Genoa, Italy (Gênes). In Nîmes, weavers tried to reproduce jean fabric but instead developed a similar twill fabric that became known as denim, from de Nîmes, meaning "from Nîmes". Genoa's jean fabric was a fustian textile of "medium quality and of reasonable cost", very similar to cotton corduroy for which Genoa was famous, and was "used for work clothes in general". The Genoese navy equipped its sailors with jeans, as they needed a fabric which could be worn wet or dry.
In the late 1800s, denim trousers, typically worn by male workers and originally referred to as “waist overalls,” were fairly commonplace as rough and tumble work wear. But it was a humble tailor named Jacob Davis who approached businessman Levi Strauss about seeking financial support to patent his idea. The idea? Adding metal rivets to the pockets and button fly of denim trousers, to make them more durable. And so, on May 20, 1873, the first pair of blue jeans as we now know them were born.
For someone to find the right jeans that make them look cool isn’t an easy job. Jeans can be compared as our companion in the casual lazy day where we do not want to dress up. This style is truly forever, a simple t-shirt or shirt and a pair of jeans, which is very simple yet cool. To find the right jeans that fit our body perfectly, we have to make sure that it is not too undersize or oversize, it has to be perfectly below our waistline, and definitely, not too tight. For those who are bigger in built, muscles or body fat, will also need the right jeans that fit their body perfectly well.
Today, we would to introduce tips in finding the right jeans, but before that we need to understand our body first. Our body is divided into 3 different types.
1. Ectomorph: an ectomorph is a typical skinny guy. Ecto’s have a light build with small joints and lean muscle. Usually ectomorph’s have long thin limbs with stringy muscles. Shoulders tend to be thin with little width.
2. Mesomorph : a mesomorph has a large bone structure, large muscles and a naturally athletic physique. Mesomorphs are the best body type for bodybuilding. They find it quite easy to gain and lose weight. They are naturally strong which the perfect platform for building muscle is.
3. Endomorph: an endomorph body type is solid and generally soft. Endomorphs gain fat very easily. Endo’s are usually of a shorter build with thick arms and legs. Muscles are strong, especially the upper legs. Endomorphs find they are naturally strong in leg exercises like the squat.
How to choose jeans for Ectoomorph
The Ectomorph body type is typically taller (but can be short), has a smaller frame, and displays very lean (or skinny) muscle mass. Think of Adam Levine (above)—or, if you want to be extreme about it, an NBA baller like Kevin Durant.
Best Jean Type: Straight-cut jeans with a low rise. Avoid super-skinny jean styles, as the tight fit will make you look smaller.
How to choose jeans for Enctomorph-Mesomorph
This body type is slightly larger than ectomorph but slightly smaller than mesomorph, and is typically average height with moderate muscle definition.
Best Jean Type: Straight or slim jeans with a low rise.
How to choose jeans for Mesomorph
This body type is typically athletic with a lean muscular frame, showcasing a rectangular shape. It might be easier to gain muscle for this body type.
Best Jean Type: Go for an athletic, straight, or slim cut with a low rise.
How to choose jeans for Mesomorph-Endomorph
This body type is slightly larger than mesomorph but slightly smaller than endomorph and is typically average (or below) height with big muscle mass.
Best Jean Type: Go for an athletic, relaxed, or slim-straight cut with stretch.
How to choose jeans for Endomorph
This body type is typically short and stocky (but can be taller) with heavy muscle mass and a wide, rounder frame; these guys may gain fat easily and have trouble cutting fat.
Best Jean Type For Tall: go for a slightly wider leg to fit over those quads or an athletic cut. Avoid low rise.
Best Jean Type For Short: go for slightly slimmer jean or an athletic cut. Avoid a wide fit style, as these will make you look heavy (and not in a flattering way.)
Jeans is a special type of style that matches with many different shoes and many colors depending on what style you want to wear. If you prefer having a bit formal, or smart casual then the mood and tones would be in appropriate colors that are not too flashy. However, dressing up in more casual manners can play with all colors and styles depending on how fashionable you want to be.
